  13. In trying to build xdvik on our SPARCs (4.1.3 + all patches + X11R5 + patches
  14. AND gcc ) we ran into a snag. In MACHINES, Karl notes:

  16. 1) If you use the MIT X11R5 libraries, this problem does not arise.

  18. Referring to OpenWin's broken Xmu lib. OK, we're using X11R5
  19. so we're cool.

  21. BUT, we're not getting it to compile.

  23. We had no problems with kpathsea.a...that went smoothly (well, from the 
  24. kpathsea dir., not from the top level dir.
